Personal Data and Anonymisation

The Bachelor thesis focuses mainly on the issue of personal data and their anonymisation. The theoretical part specifies valid Czech and European legislative documents and also introduces the issue of anonymisation. It presents also various anonymisation methods (Pseudonymisation, Anonymisation) which can be used to create anonymized data. The practical part of this thesis is a program which is able to fulfill the requirements based on European law on a specific dataset. Outgoing „personal" data from the attached program are no longer taken as personal data.

The diploma thesis deals with the protection of personal data. As part of the literature search, the issue of personal data protection, basic terms, rights and obligations of the parties involved, or sanctions threatened in the event of their violation based on the General Regulation. As part of the practical part of the thesis, the protection of personal data in the selected company is evaluated in practice during individual phases of the employment relationship. On the basis of the analysis, deficiencies that are not in accordance with the current legislation are assessed. Subsequently, on the basis of the results of the analysis of personal data protection in the company, appropriate recommendations are proposed, the financial complexity is calculated at the end of the thesis.

This Diploma thesis investigates protection of privacy and personal data. In the literary research it is dedicated to embedding of the current legislation on the protection of personal data, privacy, the rights and obligations of involved parties and the consequences of their violations. The work itself deals with processes for handling personal data at the workplace in selected business company. The pro-cessing of personal data during the entire life cycle of the employment is ana-lyzed. Next section of the thesis is also devoted to the processing of personal data and the proper fullfilment of the predefined obligations. The work is also devoted to the protection of the employee's privacy and the protection of the employer's ownership rights. In the conclusion, corrective measures are proposed, based on identified deficiencies.

The result of comparison of performed analysis with the valid laws of Czech Republic and European Union are proposals for specific corrective measures leading to remedy of the unsatis-factory situation including the economic aspect.

The primary aim of this dissertation thesis is to present a comprehensive analysis of the issue of personal data protection in the Czech Republic with regard to the regulation in the EU. The secondary goal of this work is to explore the historical genesis and material sources of the issue in question. The core information sources from which the thesis draws represent laws, judicial decisions, official documents and Czech/foreign expert literature. In order to achieve the objectives of the work, the methods that are generally applicable in the field of legal science were used. Therefore the method of description (including classification), analysis and synthesis is mostly applied. The dissertation consists of seven chapters. After a short introduction, it begins with a sociological treatise on the importance of the protection of personal data in the 21st century. Privacy is currently an important topic in the light of the rapid development of information and communication technologies which have been developing since the second half of the 20th century and burgeoned since the turn of the century. The thesis is focused on the protection of personal data and privacy under an employment relationship. The main aim of this thesis is to suggest specific corrective measures to a business organization in order to ensure an alignment between its current situation and the legislation of the Czech Republic. The literary research represents an introduction to the topic of personal data protection and privacy. Definitions of its basic concepts are put into context of the legislation of the Czech Republic. The original research part contains an analysis of personal data protection and privacy measures in a chosen business organization throughout its complete process from staff selection to termination of employment. As a result of a comparison between this analysis and the current legislation of the Czech Republic, proposals to introduce specific corrective measures are presented.

The master thesis is focused on the protection of privacy and personal data in labour-law relations. The literature review is devoted to defining the terminology, the legal base of the protection of privacy and personal data, the rights and obligations of the parties and also the legal consequences arising from a breach of the obligations imposed. The original research part analyses issue of protection of privacy and personal data in a specific enterprise. Attention is given to monitored processes prior to labour-law relation and during that, including processes taking place after the end of the labour-law relationship. The attention is paid to all types of monitoring ongoing in workplace. Comparison of identified facts with the current legislation of the Czech Republic in some cases need recommendations, which are mentioned in this thesis, too.

The diploma thesis is focused on the protection of privacy and personal data in labour relations. The literature research is devoted to the definition of basic terms, the legal base of the protection of personal data and privacy, the rights and obligations of the parties, the supervisory authority and the sanctions related to the non-compliance of obligations imposed by the law. The research focuses on the conflict of interest of the employer and the right to privacy of the employee and the degree of legitimacy of workplace monitoring. The original research part deals with the analysis of personal data protection and privacy measures in the chosen business organization during the whole process from the beginning of the selection process, during the duration of the employment relationship to its termination. Subsequently, the ways of monitoring employees and their legitimacy are evaluated. Based on analysed facts, corrective recommendations, including the economic aspect, are proposed in conclusion of the thesis.
